For my product design project I thought of redesigning a folder. I thought it would be a cool idea. I always find that my folders do not hold up and I end up buying a new folder every trimester. Instead, I thought of making a folder. If I made it of paper, it still wouldn't hold up. So, I thought of making a duct tape folder. A duct tape folder would not only hold up better, but it would be more fashionable too. Which could potentially help you stay organized too by remembering which cool looking folder you put your paper in. I really thought that my colors and the "R" on the inside of my folder turned out really cool! I started with card stock paper and made a folder shape, and then I covered it in duct tape.
This is my Printmaking Project. At first when I heard abou this project immediately thought I should do a flower. So, I tried drawing a flower and it did not look like a flower at all. I then thought of something simpler that I could do. An "R" seemed simple enough so I decided to do that idea. The process is a very long process which goes like this: First you draw your design and then realize it is too complex, so you do something more simpler. After the 10,000,000 time of drawing your idea you realize it isn`t getting any better so you just go with it. Then you trace it onto your linoleum block. After you trace it on your block, you realize you messed up, so you have to slightly change your idea on your block. Then, you trace it with permanent marker. After all of that you use very sharp tools to carve out anything not traced in permanent marker. One of the last steps is when yuo use a brayer to roll ink onto your linoleum block. You use the block like a stamp and stamp it all over your paper. After a million times of stamping and rolling and stamping some more you realize that the stamps are not going to look any better so you cut them out and put your name on each copy with the aount of stamps made. Such as: 1/11, 2/11 and so on. THAT is how you do a printmaking project.
One of the art projects we did was a future reflection. That is where you take a picture of yourself looking into a mirror and in the mirror has to be something that will be in your future Here is my project. I chose to do this simple pose because I didn`t want anything too busy especially with the busy mirror image. In my background, I am in my dance studio. The barre` on the wall also kind of shows that I am already kind of living my life. In my future I wish to continue dancing and I am fortunate enough that I am able to dance right now. Without my outstanding mom and grandparents to transport me to dance I wouldn`t be able to be living my wonderful dream. If you can`t tell already, I love dance and wish to continue dancing in my future. The pictures in the slideshow below are progress pictures throughout the process. My final picture has a purple background. I have colored, shaded, and added features to my picture to personalize it. I also took a picture of my dance studio and added that to the picture for more personalization. In art, we made a 2D art project. In the project, we picked one area of 2D art at we really enjoy. The first thing thought of was drawing and I DO NOT like drawing. I would like it more if I could draw more than a smiley face. But, sadly the best thing I can draw is a smiley face, and if I`m lucky, I can draw the stick body, but that is a very rare occasion. So, I chose plantography. That is my own word for photography of plants. I LOVE plants (which is strange, I know) and I love photography, so I put the together to make plantography. I first found some inspiration for taking the pictures. Click here to see the source. I took the pictures of the plants on my iPod or camera. After that, I edited, rotated, cropped, and personalized the pictures. Down below is a slideshow of after I edited and filtered the pictures. And these are the pictures before I edited, cropped, rotated and put filters on them. Video we watched in class

This is my logo for the logo design project. I used a dancer for the picture because I love dance and have been doing dance my whole life. I incorporated my favorite color also, which is pink. I used the app SketchBook Pro and PicsArt to create this.
Click on the button below to view my Artist research preziI learned a whole bunch of interesting information from doing this artist research project. I not only learned lots of famous art pieces, but I also learned that Edgar losing his mother at a very young age, impacted him so much. The way he acted and did his everyday events were highly impacted since his mother died. For example, he would not have spent time of his day brushing his models` hair, or painting as many female dancers if his mother didn`t die. Overall, I really enjoyed this project. I am most proud of how neat and organized the final Prezi turned out. It was a TON of work, and it was many many hours of researching, but it turned out pretty good. |
